Biography:
Since joining the Rio faculty in 2009, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of courses in biology. Primarily, I teach courses for the Wildlife and Fish Conservation and Management major. However, I also teach Ecology and Contemporary Topics in Biology for Biology majors. I consider myself exceedingly blessed to be able to work at the University of Rio Grande and live in bucolic southeastern Ohio.
I am a native of Appalachia and grew up near Pikeville, Kentucky. I am married to Rebecca and we have three wonderful children (a fourth on the way!) -- one son, Marshall, and two daughters, Maylin and Samantha. My family and I live in Jackson, Ohio and spend most of our free time outdoors. My hobbies include bird-watching, archery, and reading (especially biographies and autobiographies).
